I have never used an air-purifier,but the minute the windows had to be shut for winter,I knew something non-toxic had to be used to fight "doggy winter-odor" from taking over the house. So,not knowing anything whatsoever about air-purifiers,I did some research and ended up with the Hunter. I chose this model because it wasn't very expensive. Also,I knew it wouldn't harm my 4 parrots in any way. That was the number one factor in choosing an air-purifier.
It works.I use it in the living room and have asked my friends to come over to walk in the front door to see if the stale dog odor was still overpowering. They all took deep breaths and pronounced the air fit to breathe. It collects a lot of dander and hair and such.
With 4 dogs,2 cats and 4 parrots,it is hard to keep the dander down to a tolerable level.Maybe I will do an update in the future, but for now,I'm completely satisfied.Oh,one more thing:it is fairly quiet and even on the highest level, the noise is minimal.Plus, the filters are easy to get at.
Maybe I can finally have people over who don't instantly make a "ewww...dogs!" face when they walk in the door.I made it every time I came back from shopping or whatever, but the few days I've used this product, the air seems fresher now. |
So impressed I bought another!

| You can see the results! Bright sunshine coming through the window showed air was not clear, haze and particles in it. Couple of hours on medium and it was crystal clear! Can't see any reason to run on high which is slightly loud unless something on the stove burned. Seems well made. Will probably change charcoal filter rather than washing since it has a finite adsorptive capacity which washing won't remedy. Half list price was deciding factor in purchase. |

| I purchased this air filter for my bedroom because I have a slight allergy to dust, and I like "white" noise. I generally keep it on the "low" speed so that I can sleep. And even on the "low" speed I notice less dust in my room. When I clean in the room, I turn it on "high" for about an hour just to catch any particles that might be floating around. I have had this for about six months, and it still is on the first filter. I am very happy with this machine. |

I have 3 cats so I need a good air filter. I ordered two to place at two strategic places in my house. The units are so quiet I sometimes have to check that they are working. They definitely recycle the air and remove and possible odors from cat litters. People entering the house for the first time and seeing the cats act surprised. there is absolutely no odor.
Excellent product. |

| I bought this fan when my roommate and I got 2 kittens. Not only was the weather getting hotter, but we didn't want to have to worry about our allergies acting up due to the kittens. It has been on nonstop for almost a month now and we have had no problems with it - it works very well and keeps our apartment nice and cool. Also, if you have small children or pets, you don't have to worry because the slits where the air comes out are small and the fan is built deep inside of the fan so it is safe. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in need of an air purifier. I'm actually about to purchase a second one!! |

| My cockatiel releases a lot of dander during preening so I wanted a cost effective air purifier for his room and for that it works perfectly. After running for only a few hours I noticed a big difference in the amount of dust, and haven't noticed any bird dander accumulating since. It's also very quiet, even on the highest setting although I leave it on low all the time and it still does the job. I would highly recommend especially to those with pets. Can't beat the price |
Love this machine

| We currently have four of these air cleaners in various rooms in our home since our children have allergies and asthma. The air cleaners are very quiet when run on low (which is were we leave them all the time) and not excessively loud on higher speeds. Quick set up and little maintenance. Filters are expensive, but that is true with any brand HEPA machine you purchase. We have used this model for years after trying other brands and will not go back to the others. |

| I'm so glad I ordered this unit. It truly is quiet. I've owned many brands of air purifier, and for the price, you can't beat Hunter's quality and efficiency. Totally excellent for the smaller sized spaces that need purification. |
Second one I've purchased

| This is a very good and effective air cleaner for small rooms. You may want to check and buy some extra filters since I'm not sure this model, since I have a hard time finding replacement filters anywhere but online. You do need to ensure you change the pre-filter regularly to maximize the life of the HEPA filter. The unit is very quiet. You can hear it operating but the sound is that of a very quiet fan. You won't have any trouble falling asleep with the unit on in nearby. Very good unit, especially if you can find a sale! |
