Personal Gas Oders GONE !

| A family member has personal gas problems that leave the car smelling horrible no matter how often it is aired out. This product WORKS! Drawback may be you can't use deoderizers because this device will make them a waste of money. You won't need the smell good stuff because your car will no longer have any bad smells. I give this a very large A++. |
I was a skeptic!

I bought a used GMC Envoy 2 weeks ago. It was obvious that the previous owner was a smoke. Although the smell was not overbearing (probably kept the window open while smoking), it was still there.
My first (and cheapest) attempt at removing the smell was to place 2 small bowls of vinegar in the car while I was not using it. This helped for a short period of time, but the smell would slowly creep back in after a little while.
My second (and most expensive) attempt was to use the Gone Smoke "fogger" product that I had bought on Amazon. I set up two of these cans and ran my air conditioner on full blast and set it to circulate the air internally for a few minutes (per the instructions). I came out the next morning and found that the smoke smell was gone...but seemed to be more covered up than destroyed. There was a faint smell but I just couldn't put my finger on it. Regardless, after a few days, the smoke smell was coming back.
My last attempt was the Wagan Car Ionizer. I plugged the unit in about 5:00pm on a monday night. I came out to my car the next morning and could not believe the fresh smell (or lack there of) in my car. It was almost weird (in a good way). The best way I can describe it is that my car has a "new car smell" withouth the new car smell. I know that makes no sense but it is the only way I can describe it. I also noticed instantly how much easier it was to breathe.
I have now had the unit in my car for 4 days and it smells as fresh as the day I put it in. Of course, this is still in teh very early going, but I feel confident that the smell will nto return. The only question is how long the unit will last. But, hopefully by that point, the "stink particles" would have been totally irradicated. If worse comes rto worse, I'll just buy another unit. @ $10.99/ea, I have absolutely no problem doing this once a year.
2 final notes: 1.) I have not experienced any of teh sore throat issues that others have described. But again, it has only been 4 days. 2.) The blue power light is a little overbearing but nothing a small piece of black electrical tape can't take care of.

I really wasn't expecting miracles when I bought this. I was tired of constantly buying air fresheners that never seemed to last very long. I've been using this for about 2 weeks and I love it. My car doesn't smell like anything in particular...it's a non-smell I really can't explain. It really sucks odors (good or bad) out of there.
I was running late for work and didn't finish my breakfast one morning, so i just left it in my car. Now my car was sitting in an open parking lot in the hot sun for 8 hours. Even though I cracked my windows, I thought it might stink a little. Imagine my surprise when I smelled almost NOTHING! Now, of course it's not on when your car is off, but before I bought this my car would have smelled for sure and it would have taken me awhile to air it out. With this gadget, any lingering odor was dispelled quickly once I turned the car on. I actually forgot I had left any food in the car at all.
It's small, silent and it works! |
It works...

| It took a week or so before I noticed the unit was working. I guess it needs to de-stink the car before it can attack new odors. After the first week or so I noticed I could smoke a cigar on the way home from work and the smell would be gone the next morning. I need to make it clear though, I have an SUV so I got two of these units. I would recommend this product. |
it works

Ran across this at a local store and quickly bought it. I had been using an old Sharper Image car ionizer which was partly broken, making weird noises, but still doing it's job. Unfortunately, my car window got smashed and car got robbed. Among the victims was the old ionizer. After cleaning the broken class and sending the car for some major cleaning, I noticed that the car was now smelling like ass from the cleaning solutions the car washers used. In fact, it started smelling like every old car your old uncle drove. Yes, that smell.
Plugging this sucker in (I plugged it into the rear socket, and turned it upside down to try and hide the bright blue light) and the next day viola, car smelled nice and fresh again.
I would recommend people place a little dehumidifier bucket in their car as well to get rid of moisture (as trapped moisture in the car will help fungus grow.. ie. bad if you have respiratory problems).
It does have a smell of ozone to it, so if you're sensitive to that, I suggest airing the car out a bit before you jump in, or remove the unit while using your car and only leave it on overnight. I'm guessing another advantage of the ozone production is that if someone in the car is sick, less chance if you catching whatever it is.. but that's really above and beyond what this product is meant for.
Anyway, for $10 it's definitely good. Seems to have more circuitry and be slightly better built then the old Sharper Image model. It should in theory last 2-3 years before the metal rusts out from cleaning up all the crap in your car. |
Fantastic

| I bought this because I am/was a smoker and my dr told me I had to quit for health reason's and I plugged it into my car for 3 maybe 4 days and the smell is gone. It's great, even when I turn on the AC there's no smell. I don't even use it anymore, the smell didn't come back. I would highly recommend this product! |

at first i was skeptic about this purifier and how it works
i was concerned it would irritate my already sensitive sinuses but after using it inside my SUV it really did work with no red eyes or sinus headaches
the purifier gives a ( neutral ) smell inside the car with no good or bad odors
one small thing if your car has manual transmission you might slightly hit the purifier when changing gear , not a big problem
i strongly recommend

| This product works great. I love how fresh the air is when I first get into the car in the morning when it has been working all night. I live at sea level, but its like a breath of fresh mountain air when I get into the car. |
